Fantasy rules and scoring

Squads, budget, and formations

Managers select a 15-player squad and stay within the budget displayed in the app. The starting XI must use one of the valid formations available on the My Team screen.

• Only players available in the BotolaGo player list can be selected.
• Your bench provides substitutes outside the starting XI.
• Squad and formation changes must be saved before the deadline.

Core scoring

Points are based on official match actions recorded for each player.

• Goal: +5 points
• Assist: +3 points
• Clean sheet: +4 points
• Every 3 goalkeeper saves: +1 point
• Yellow card: −1 point
• Red card: −3 points
• Own goal: −2 points
• Match bonus: awarded to the top three performers

Captain and chips

Your captain scores 2× points. Triple Captain raises that multiplier to 3× for one gameweek.

• Wildcard: unlimited free squad changes for one gameweek; available twice per season.
• Bench Boost: all 15 players score for one gameweek; available once per season.
• Triple Captain: the captain scores 3× for one gameweek; available once per season.
• Additional chips and their availability are shown inside the app.

Transfers and deadlines

Every gameweek has a published deadline. Transfers, formation changes, bench order, captaincy, and chips must be confirmed before it passes.

• The app displays the transfers available to your team.
• Late changes apply only when the app confirms them before the deadline.
• Fixture or deadline updates are communicated through the active gameweek view.

Private leagues and rankings

Managers can create or join leagues with an invitation code. BotolaGo supports classic points and head-to-head competition formats.

• Weekly rankings compare the current gameweek score.
• Season rankings compare cumulative fantasy points.
• Private-league standings use the format selected by the league creator.

Data corrections and fair play

Live scores may be provisional. BotolaGo can update points when the underlying official match data is corrected. Attempts to abuse accounts, leagues, or competition systems may lead to removal from affected competitions.
